We're Looking For a Part-Time Workshop Coordinator

 

Are you a creative, organized, and social person who loves bringing people together? We want to host workshops and art socials, and we’re looking for a Part-Time Workshop Coordinator to bring these events to life!

About the Role

This position is perfect for someone who loves the arts and enjoys curating unique experiences. You’ll be responsible for organizing a variety of workshops and art socials, from handmade zines, collage nights, and crochet circles, to illustration, writing, and more. Some events will be instructor-led, while others will be casual creative gatherings. If you enjoy leading workshops, great! If you prefer to source talented instructors, that works too.

Key Responsibilities

✅  Plan and coordinate engaging workshops for adults (no kids’ classes)
✅  Lead workshops OR source local artists and instructors
✅  Handle event setup (with staff assistance)
✅  Manage workshop supplies (some provided, some participant-supplied)
✅  Assist with marketing and promotion
✅  Engage with participants to create a welcoming atmosphere
✅  Work with local artists and businesses on collaborations

Work Hours & Flexibility

🕒  Approx. 10 hours/week (remote planning + in-person hours based on events)
📍  Flexible schedule, but must be available for workshops and socials
⌛️  Workshops typically run weeknights (5-8pm) or mornings (10am-12pm)

Who We're Looking For

🎨  A creative individual with a passion for art, design, and community
💬  Comfortable engaging with a variety of people
🖥  Ideally proficient in design software (for promotional materials)
🎟  Some event planning experience is a plus (but not required!)
🧑🏻‍🎨  Art teachers or creatives looking for a fun side job are highly encouraged to apply!
